In a post on thier Facebook page, Picton Terminals said they are planning to keep Picton Bay open all the way to the ferry with thier new rug. They didn't provide a reason but I think it's to allow the barges of aggregate to go to Amherst Island. If we get the winter I think we are going to get, I highly doubt they will be able to with a couple of tugs. However, it could happen if the winter is like last year's.

They must be supplying the concrete for the new ferry landing being built on Amherst island

Possibly, but I know they have been supplying rock for an Industrial Wind Turbine project there as well...
