What is this fish

Went out at wagers farm today. Didn't mark any eyes just relentless perch. Caught this, I think it's a herring. Hit a buckshot with a minnow head on it

Got one out of the boat just before freeze up by skyway bridge on a snap rap, i was geussing it was a Cisco at the time

Looks like a Herring to me. The Snarf just got one while perching on Simcoe the same day that I landed a 5lb. whitefish will perching.
