Hello all and Happy New Year, my own fault as I bought this auger new some years ago and the cheap Chinese parts they use on these things anymore, well the plastic fuel inlet nipple broke off first season I used it. Was sure I had ordered another carb for it but be darned if I can find it now or even my old one. Tecumseh engine is a TC-300 and sure it had a Walbro on it but all internet searching I’ve done has left me dead ended and thought I’d reach out here. I’ve been chasin panfish for too long and using a 4” Laser on my 20V lithiumion drill But now back on the Walleye kick sure be nice to get this 8” gasser running.

I can imagine how tough on a rechargeable drill turning an 8” bit would be.

Thank you

I think Rapala makes Them which there is a warranty service centre in oshawa south of the 401 by Rapala. I think it's called Crown maintenance they should have all the parts you need for pick-up.

Ya tnx PK, Im not sure if Rapala actually owned Strikemaster when this one was made and everyplace I’ve checked that particular #640231 carb is “Obsolete”. Shame when we purchase items anymore it’s not long afterwards that parts aren’t available. Decide to lay out close to 4K on a Lowrance then within 2-3yrs these companies done service or carry parts for them. A disposable world were living in anymore. I’ll give this place you’ve suggested a call but not holding my breath.

Not sure if I’ll be able to convert it but I’d ordered a new “Non Compliant” carb for a 346 (46CC) Husqvarna chainsaw about 10yrs ago... was having lumpy idle and low end bog issues (lean) with it with the fixed jet factory carb that came on it. Traded the saw and still have this brand new Walbro in the box, mounting holes line up perfectly and now to see if I can adapt it over to this particular Tecumseh engine.

How’s the fishing been down that way since Christmas... not that I miss the Quinte Walleye factory at all haha

I was actually on amazon looking at carb kits today. They have them for under 30 bucks.

I think he's looking for a complete carb not just a kit.

Yes I was looking at them.... I think there might be a mod or two to make them work. I know with the flimsy plastic pivoting guillotine style choke lever on the plastic fuel tanks of these auger engines, I think the brass choke butterfly needs to be removed. Think also bc the linkage/s that connect and interact with high idle on those eBay carbs something also needs to be modded and my luck I’ll need to make a throttle linkage. Hoping I might be lucky enough to find the exact fitting carb for this TC-300
