Quick Update - Hay Bay- Aug 19-02

Just back from overnight at Hay Bay, it seems as thought the fish are still biting and some bigger ones are showing up.

One chap hit three the other day, 7 - 8 & 9 lbs..............

Everyone else is catching fish in their favourite spots.

I'm planning to come down from Ottawa for a day to fish in Hay Bay.

Where would you suggest that I launch my boat on the Bay ?

I understand from other posts that the fish are being caught along the weedlines - trolling spinners and cranks ?

Any and all suggestions and information gratefully accepted.

Well, I'd launch at the site close to Shermans Pt off the North Shore Road, then it's a quick trip to Shermans, or over toward Thompsons or over towards the south shore launch site near the old Church.

Weedlines with spinners and worms and plastic, casting crankbaits is also working well, along the weed lines.

You don't have to be deep either, 11- 14 feet is working according to my sources this morning.

The bite is still on - tight lines.
