As a newbie here I’d like to say I very much enjoy this discussion board both for the valuable information and it’s entertainment.
Been away from Bay and ice fishing for about 20 years but I’ve got the bug back now that I’m retired. I’m heading to Big Island this afternoon with a buddy and any info about current conditions would be much appreciated. Planning on parking at Wagers and walking out. It’s about a 2hr drive so plans are one or two trips a week.

Thanks

Good luck!

I'm making a long drive up to fish quinte this weekend, first timer... would love to hear how people have been making out prior to getting there!

The was 10" of black ice straight out from Wagers on Sunday. Should be an easy walk out if weather stays the same for you. There were some bare patches between a few inches of snow and no slush to be seen. Don't forget your $5 to park at Wagers. We got a couple but fishing is fishing, catching is up to you.

Great weather for the afternoon/evening at Big Island. Easy walk out as adventure suggested but the fishing is fishing and they didn’t cooperate tonight. Saw one eater caught nearby but all we managed was a perch. Better days ahead.
