How much snow is on the ice? Tough walking? Calling for snow this weekend.

I was fishing at Huffs on Thursday. Not much snow on the ice and much of it turned to slush as we were out there so walking was easy in terms of snow depth but it was very slippery. Good to have cleats.
There wasn't much ice either. About 8 inches on the east side of the reach over 21 fow but as you moved west towards the deeper water there was 4 or 5 inches over 27 fow. Clearly not suitable for ATVs and dicey even on foot. Thursday night was cold and Friday should be cold too which should make the ice a bit thicker for the weekend. Walking with a spud should be okay. ATVs not so much. Be careful out there.
