Hey Swannie. I have been trying to find out as well. Was hoping for this weekend, but Don,t want to pull the quad for the 3 hr run just to sit. I got a pm saying there is a ton of snow with more coming. Hopefully someone with first hand knowledge can shed share some info.

Saw a guy on Brighton bay this afternoon heading to his hut on a quad with chained tires. He was struggling but he made it. Got bogged down a couple of times but gunned it and got going again. It's deep.

If you bring an atv either have chains, tracks or else don't be afraid to keep it w.o.t. all the way. That or hope someone plows a trail out there. It's getting deep and even more now.

I was out on Wellers Bay today, just tires, no problem. It was blowing and snowing hard at 5pm creating some drifts and deeper snow.

Thanks Williford. That's great to hear. We'll have to see how much we get tomorrow. Hopefully the wind sweeps most of it in open areas.

I just went off 12 o'clock point (west shore of bay of quinte by Trenton) to check it out, 700 kodiak with chains and it was a real work out. Went out about 500 yards could only do about 4 mph digging all the way. Too hard on my machine for me. More snow today, tomorrow and Sunday. Going to need some big wind to blow it down or pack it down.

I made it a couple km with out getting stuck, held it wide open in 2nd and that is without chains, straight axle Honda 500. This was between Trenton and Belleville. Getting more snow though right now. Probably gonna put my chains on for tomorrow

If your not going to be driving miles then your quad will likely be fine. I carry a cordless drill with a spade bit and a piece of pipe to anchor in the ice to winch myself out if need be.

Thanks Hutchy. I was actually thinking about Wellers Bay. That pipe sounds like a great idea. Members have been quite helpful on this fishing forum.
