Quite a few ice shacks off Finkle's on 33 hwy. Was by a few days ago and probably 6 or 8 shacks out. Also ATV,s and sleds.

Someone told me there was a post on Facebook that they're catching lake trout.

Anyone want to talk about it?

Do not know a thing about Finkles other than the name pops up here once in a while. Not even sure where it is??? or if I know it by another name?

Found it and yes I knew it as the Bath Launch and not by its given name as posted on the sign.

Tug boats have been going up and down the north channel all winter and with all this snow the tracks will be covered so anybody going out should use extreme caution

Got the dirt this morning. Must be that none of those guy's are on the form.

Catching big lake trout. More ice than Huff's. Catching them in 65 ft to over 100 ft. of water.

Saw a picture of one caught yesterday. He thinks it's 20-25. Looks bigger than that to me.

Going to try next week. Still getting over the trip to Huff's this morning.

Was out there late Wednesday afternoon looking for lakers. Long walk out in the snow. Only marked 2 between the 3 of us but no takers. There was 14" of ice straight out from there at 100 fow.

Thanks for the info.

That's lots of ice.

Weird watching the boat go by I bet.

I've never fished Lake Trout so I hope I can give it a try.

If you are going for lakers or splake and you are in the Bath area you might want to go a little more to the East and try the south end of Lobo. Not a whole lot of fish caught but they are there.

Got an email from one of the guy's fishing Bath.

Ice isn't as good as my first information. I'm told 9 inches and pressure cracks that can open up to a foot.

I'll wait til spring.

See you on the water, not in it.

A large crack opened up maybe 2 miles from the west end of amherst out to the gap. Up to 20 feet wide in spots.
