Just wondering if the ice is still ok on west lake.
Kids want to go for a skate and maybe explore the dunes.
Would save me a drive.
Thanks guys

Hello everyone. Long time lurker first time poster on this forum.

I've been attending Wesley Acres camp for over the past 30 years but have never tried ice fishing that lake.
I am very familiar with catching fish in the summer but ice fishing will be a new ball game for me.

Can anyone confirm if the regular summer spots will produce in the winter or should I be changing up my game?
I don't want to post where I normally fish when on softwater as I can see that's frown upon.

Not looking for hot spots, Just want a starting point and I'll figure it out from there. Thanks :)

yes pretty much the same places. just stay away from the narrows between the two halves of the lake very unstable ice there , also near the cattail swamp area where the creak goes up to Bloomfield. good luck. and have fun .

Went out both Saturday and Sunday last weekend. One small perch was caught. Saw some pike on the camera but nothing else.
