I have a few downrigger balls/torpedos that are a bit banged up and lead is showing in some spots. Any suggestions on what you could use to coat them ? I was thinking of getting a couple cans of Plasti coat from Lowes and spraying them, but was hoping someone can chime in on what they used if anything. Not sure if this will effect blow back or not ...

TIA !
B

Like Shark says Flex seal works great.

Another product that I use is Truck Bed Coating.
Dupli-Color product at CTC.
To get full durability it needs to hang and air dry for 48 hours after last coat.

Here is what I do as I make weights for sale.
At first a light coat of Flex Seal.
Let dry for 24 hours regardless of instructions on can.
Then a heavy coat of Truck Bed Coating.
Let dry for 48. I dry the weights in the shade better than full sun.

great info... I picked up a couple cans of flex seal. The paint on the torpedos isn't that great, so i am going to spray those up and see how it holds out. You can pretty much scrape the paint off with your finger nail on them. I did look at the Plasti Dip and Can Tire, but took the flex seal. I think i might pick up a can of that bed liner stuff and give it a coat as well

thanks for the responses !
