Yeah, it's been pretty brutal. I have been out on any decent days and doing well brown trolling. When there is too much wind I've been centerpinning the steelhead on the salmon river. Hopefully things go the other way soon. These cold temps and cold water temps will hold the walleye in the bay longer than normal. With the season just a couple weeks away there should be a good amount of fish still in the river as well as the rest of the bay

Quote from Teppy: "Rather have the shitty weather now than on opener !!"

We can count on the finger (note: not plural!) of one hand the "Opening Day" good weather stats in the past 21 years of "Living on The Bay"!! One year a Buddy and I got in his truck and drove 200 kms around the perimeter of "The County", while waiting for the rain AND SNOW to quit.

Can't remember the actual year with near 70F temps and 'Sunshine' (look up under 'Rare Events'). Based on how Ma has treated us so far THIS year, don't bother making concrete plans. Our tarp is still on the Boat. At least this year the shoreline 'probably' won't be underwater until August.
