Besides collins bay launch, are there any public launches just East of Collins bay, out of Kingston onto lake Ontario, St. Lawrence?

I believe to the east your only options are Portsmouth Olympic harbour and then west/Ontario street downtown, might be others but that all I can think of.

Lake Ontario park, just past invista plant (formerly DuPont) Free

Portsmouth harbor is a pay launch, they do have camera"s and record license plates but its rare for bi-law to actually right a ticket.

West street, decent ramp, limited parking that is metered..

Grass creek park is another city of Kingston owned ramp (free)

Lake Ontario Park is closer to Melville Shoal and Snake Island.

Lake Ontario Park has a nice ramp, but a couple of considerations.

Even though it's sheltered, the ramp catches the south west waves pretty good. The parking is at the top of the hill 200m from the launch.

All I could find is single car parking, so I imaging you'll have to unhook your trailer and park it beside your car.

I hope someone will tell me I missed the the boat trailer parking.

You can park half way up the hill at lake ontario park but the ramp is usually very shallow and not steep enough.

at the end of Cataraqui Street, there is a narrow and shallow launch (free). This is more suitable for smaller boats ie 16 feet.

People used to launch at the foot of John Counter Blvd (Elliott Ave) in times past, I launched there in 95, used to fish the Cataraqui river in the early May.

I've used the Cataraqui Street ramp. It's skinny but OK. I launched later in the summer when the water was low and banged up a prop pretty good.

It was my fault for not paying attention but I proved it can be done. I dropped the prop off at the Prop Shop on the way home.

That was the only part of that expedition that worked out.
