Just back from Beaver Lake. I was at Neville's Point.
First time this year. One nibble. The ice is at least 2 feet thick. No one else seemed to be catching anything either. There were only about 6 people all together.

I used a silver Mr. Champs with 2 jigging minnows; I also attached a yellow floating jig head on about 8" of line.

Anyone else tried Beaver Lake this year?

Is the fishing better on warmer days? ie. around zero C.

Bayboy, I also was at Neville's point tonight, 3 atv's almost down to where you go to north beaver lake, we also got 0, well one guy caught a nice largemouth about 3lbs, to bad it had to go back. Nice day though. Next trip,Hungry lake for some splake. LM

I was at the first point left of the the park entering on the right of the the road as you drive in from 41. I will probably use the last of my minnows trying for perch on the north shore of Hay Bay in front of my house on the best of days.
I hope they're hungry at Hungry lake.
