Anyone else struggling consistently hauling bass on the West end of the bay (near Trenton)? I've been working the weeds, the dropoffs as well as deeper water and some days I manage to haul 1 or 2, but not consistently. I was managing 4-5 a trip earlier towards the end of June. What gives? Is it relatively normal at this time of the year?

pretty normal theres a fair amount of tournament pressure. Dont think all those largemouth released from tournaments in belleville make it back to original locations, I know some of (a small proportion) of the smallmouth released do make it back to Lake Ontario eventually though from what I have read.

Thanks for the reply. Is it like this all throughout the bay? Is the best option then to just find another body of water up North?

Wow even the narrows... I was considering making the trip to Moira lake to check it out. I may just do that for some bass.

I've had to work a lot of areas around Trenton Bay like mentioned no area consistently producing just a couple here couple there and seems bite off during high sun or for me at least lol I have a thousand dollars worth of lures but only catching on whacky worm rigged and worked very light...the largies an aggressive bite as soon as hits water almost and smallies very subtle off the bottom and edge of rock shoals adjacent to deeper water...

Have you found a pattern in terms of the depth? Are they hitting in the weeds, in 12+ ft of water, or on the weed edges?
