Went out this AM with fellow camper Jerry and we headed towards Mallory and we tried something different, crank baits & Planer Boards :?: :?: :?:

We put out a CC Shad and a Deep Diving Jointed Husky Jerk and began in 30 feet of water, we had just settled in our seats and the Husky Jerk Fired. Jerry on the rod, began the long reel in.

Slowly he brought the fish to the net, a nice 18 incher. They'll take something other than spinner & worm. Our immediate success was tempered as we trolled for for another hour and change, making several passes across Mallory Bay.

Best get the spinners & Worms out

We trolled the area that we had success last Saturday in a derby, and the fish were still there, we landed another four fish and called it a day before the storm hit us. Headed for the dock at 1030.

Talking to others, they were all getting fish in Mallory. F Y I

Stay Tuned

Sounds like a great day of fishing. Hope the fish continue to bite through at least September.

Where is Kingscourt Weed Bed on Hay Bay? I read others talking about it but not sure where it is.

Thanks
