Hello. We normally fish the BOQ from May-July. This year we were up for the Kiwanis Tourney but haven’t been back since. We are heading back to the Hay Bay/ Picton/ Long Reach Area for September 13-17. Any tips or good spots for that time of year?? How are the current water temps?? Are the walleye biting?? Any info will be greatly appreciated. I’ve noticed that the posts about walleye have been declining over the past month or so. Hoping to see some action while we’re there and when the board shares their trophies, it gives me hope. Thanks in advance.

September can be real tough fishing for walleye it will all depend on how the weather is. If it stays consistent and not up and down. It will go on weeds. Water temp and just weather. Stay informed on this site tho. Guys do a lot of fishing and. Quick pm to some of them will go a long way in success

Agreed pretty quiet for sure,, was having good luck couple weeks back trolling spinners. As of late if bites still on Im not sure. Bays looking pretty nasty here in the narrows high weeds and soupy green. Good luck

Best advice.... go fishing and enjoy.
Sharing info on public forums just means 20+ boats in your spot next time out.

Fish are still there just tighter to weeds, if your not cleaning veggies off your line every 50-100' then your probably not close enough, the trick is finding a long straight weed line making for an easier troll.
Hint Goggle "weed less spinner rigs".
I also Agree that any disclosure of "Spots' just invites the crowds, which in turn shuts down the bite.
As a side note has anybody else run into some schools of the bigger 10-14" white bass, found them in two spots in Long Reach, nice change from the usual dinks
