Hi everyone,
With the softwater and May 7th approaching I was just currious what your favourite method was. I prefer to Troll using planer boards early in the season? CC shad is my bait of preference. I have not jigged too much in the past but I'm sure it is successful. Just currious to what everyone else prefers.
Good luck tight lines
Sheldon

For me it's definitely worm harnesses :)

Although I did extremely enjoy that fact that my personal best this fall came on a crankbait. It's more challenging to catch walleye with out live bait.

I'd like to get to the point where I never use livebait.

I like the CC Shad also for early season, did well last opening weekend, we also got fish on the Uzick Spinner that weekend.

Once the season progresses, I'll kinda stick tot he Uzick spinner, trying the CC Shad the odd time to change things up.

Later in the in the fall, I've fallen in love with the Power Dive from Luhr Jensen and the Deep Diving Taildancer too. Then there's the Husky Jerks, Stretch +20's and the Deep Diving Smithwick Rogues.

Too Many baits - not enough time (well maybe not this year :D )

I still have my best luck on spoons for walleye. People don't usually put the two together but my best producing walleye lure is the lucky strike wardens worry 5 of diamonds style. Trolling dead slow.

Around here in Ottawa, pretty much Wally Diver's early season. But eventually I get to my fav...simple white Mr. Twister and a chunk of worm! Get's 'em pretty consistantly!
