The girls are back and they love their Barbie's Got a late start lines in water just before 10, decent conditions, we started just east of Prinyer's, trolled south shore, 90 to 140 FOW going with wind and waves at 1.8MPH just using bow mount, first Walleye hit just before 11, was 30 1/4" weighed in at 10.7lbs, she wasn't out of the net, when the starboard inside board dropped back, felt like a good one, got her to the boat, had a netting malfunction!! looked to be a twin.
20 minutes later same inside board fires again, got this one into boat for a quick picture, 29 1/4" 9.5lbs By this time we are east off the lighthouse, turned into waves tried using main motor dragging a bucket, speed was okay but no hits after an hour, pulled lines powered back to our starting point, using only the trolling motor headed west again, 3 sheepshead later got our last walleye to boat only to see her open her mouth and out came the hooks, looked to be in same size range, close examination of lure revealed bent trebles, note to self replace them!! Got another sheepies just past lighthouse then hit a couple of white bass 14-16" We started out with mostly DDHJ12's in a mixture of colors, Clown, Blue Glass, Fire Tiger & Barbie, used snap weights 1oz to 2oz on various leads from boards, according to the precision trolling charts we had lures covering 10' to 30' FOW. Everything !! Hit a Barbie finish lure, either Reef Runner 800, Rapala DDHJ12 or a Southwick Rouge 20 magic depth seem to be 25' all trolled from 1.6 to 1.8MPH, all safely released except one badly hooked walleye and a couple of white bass.
