I know this is a it off topic, but I was just wondering of anybody has been seeing any wild turkeys in the Hay Bay area, especailly along the North Shore Rd. I have spot to hunt in that area and have not had a chance to get out scouting yet.

About wild turkey's? I have a friend that has been feeding 2 Toms durring the winter and they can't leave their house without distracting them. the wife has to get their attention at the front door so the husband can go out the back door to do the chores around the house. my question is, will they attack?

Anythings possible I guess but very unlikely. Like most wild creatures they will usually avoid humans and run or fly away as soon as humans approach them. But that the sure would make turkey hunting a lot easier if they came charding toward me at first site.

I guess you want to talk about the 'Real' birds, not just the characters on the North Shore Road -

I'm just back to town from a quick visit to Hay Bay, saw a small flock, 20 - 25 birds, (seen this flock as big as 40 birds) between the Launch road and the Big Bend.

Thye've been moving around, we've seen them on the Fitchett Road and now (at least four times) off the North Shore Road.

Thanks Superdad for the reply. That flock your seeing is relatively close to the area that I will be hunting, so as the spring advances and the winter flocks break up, hopefully some of those big old toms will end up in my hunting area.
