Picton public Ramp was froze in yesterday we launched at the ferry.
Fishing was lousy for us, never moved a rod yesterday 6 guys 2 boats.
Hope others caught, we fished near Keith's shoal where most boats were.
Day before we caught 1 Walleye 28 incher and 1 Pike in the Picton Bay near Thompsons Pt.
Going back Dec 3rd, I Think, if water is still soft.

''Fish Farmer'' When you say ''we launched at the ferry'' You were talking about the Glenora ferry!!
We will be ther on Nov 30th and just in case the other boat ramp are not accessible I want a plan B.

Thanks in advance for your info's.

Ferry is good. Finkles is good. I’m sure it’ll open up today but long reach from dez to Sherman’s was iced yesterday

We stayed at Merland Park Thursday and Friday nights. I left my boat in the water Thursday night, the night we had record setting cold temps. We woke up Friday morning and the whole bay was iced over as far as you could see. It wasn t just a skim coat, I was standing on it by my boat and it wasn t even close to breaking. I should have taken it out overnight but we never expected it would freeze over. I didn t think we were going to be able to get it out but about an hour later heard and saw a charter boat (Scott Woolcott I believe) coming out from Picton Harbour breaking a path in the ice, a few other boats were behind him following in his path. We ended up breaking ice for about 500 yards to get to that path of open water that the others had broken and went past the ferry and fished all day around all the other boats without landing a single fish. We had one on for about a minute but lost it.. tried just about everything. Only saw one net out all day that was one of the charter boats that we saw land a fish.

Yes it was the Glenora ferry launch.
I would think now with the mild temps and rain were getting, everything has opened up again.

Coast Guard vessel doing buoy maintenance? , went down Long Reach this morning heading south,
Deseronto still ice covered a third of way to Foresters, that may change with the forecasted 2 days of warm rain.
According to Navionics online AP it's 6.5 miles Deseronto to Sherman's, about same distance from Picton.
