Was driving by madoc today and seen 3 sets of guys out fishing and an atv has anyone heard what the ice is like up there?

there's dozens of guys on the bay right now west of the bay bridge (norris whitney bridge).

Surprised really...ice can't be that thick yet.

I was just north of Madoc Sunday. About 6-7 inches on both lakes I hit near Coe Hill. Went to Potters early Monday to check ice before getting my boys up. My spud drew water 2nd light bump in one place. Maybe 20 people 300ft out. I didn't make it more than 20ft and 3 spud test holes before I turned around to enjoy the safety of solid footing. I'll stick with these guys a bit longer.
