Does anybody know if there is decent ice out by the bridge in Belleville? I’m looking to come down Saturday and give it a go

Havent been by today but yesterday it was open and patchy from the bridge over to cow island. I would stay well clear of that area for now.

Lots of huts west of the bridge out off potters area, and a few stragglers east of cow island, but looks risky there. Looks like a few huts over at Pointe Anne (stay clear of Massassauga pt area) and heard of some people off wagers. If your cautious like myself, generally i would stay away from Belleville Bridge over to east of massassauga point, ice is always sketchy here until we get some real cold weather.

Thanks, I figured it hadn’t been cold enough to get out there yet, I’ll stick to some safer ice until we get a cold snap

There has been some really Stoopid Stuff going on - a few HUTS even - West of the Bridge, but that thankfully thinned out after yesterday's Meltdown. The visible few may even be abandoned for now.

West of Potters, not much sign of anything right now, and the F.D.s may get some rest before Poo hits the Fan on the weekend - freezing at night, significant melting in the daytime - WITH Sunlight further complicating things. That four inches of Fluff last night won't be helpful, and for now it's a crap shoot in our opinion. Virtually impossible to gauge safety along that stretch.

Rgds, Wordpecker.
