The General Meeting will take place Wednesday, January 16th  at 7:00pm in the Quinte Conservation Building. Guest speaker, will be Erin Brown, walleye biologist at Glenora. A lot of you are familiar with Jim Hoyle, Erin will be replacing Jim when he retires.
Erin will be giving an up-dated presentation on the walleye telemetry tagging program in the Bay of Quinte & Eastern Lake Ontario. The OMNRF now have 149 walleye swimming around with telemetry tags in them. I don’t have a number on the receivers but must be way over several hundred. The speed at which some of these walleye left the Bay of Quinte last spring, post spawn was amazing. I am very interested myself to see how quickly they move back to the spawning grounds in the fall.

CLOSA will be hosting a Tackle Swap & Flea Market planned for Sunday, March 24th at the Belleville Fish & Game club. Reservations for tables will be $20.00 each. Steve Yarrow is helping out by booking several tables. Please let us know if you wish to book a table.

Weller’s Bay Campground will have a weigh station for the Lake Ontario Salmon Derby this summer. They have a large selection of salmon tackle in stock at the store on the camp ground premises.

Hope to see you at the meeting.
Al

The meeting Wednesday night will be very informative on the annual movement of walleye in the Bay of Quinte and Eastern Lake Ontario. It will not only be an asset for charter boat operators but also the weekend warrior.
Hope to see you there.
Al
