Is there fishable ice near Bain Park or Bay Marina? I respect that no-one on here guarantees anything and that no ice is truly "safe" ice. I also know it is annoying for the locals when guys like me post these things. But I am 3 hours away and want to hit the ice for first light tomorrow. So I am just trying not to flock to Potters etc. And if anyone wanted to meet up to fish, I would like that. I am going to be at Pro Tackle for 5 a.m. Black F150 FX4. feel free to pm me too. Ken

Last weekend Onderdunk had 5 inches. Im sure that with the recent cold snap that the bay will be fine this weekend. Be sure to use a spud when walking out, but this is only my opinion.

For the Onderdonk area, a post from highly respected Guide Dave Chatterton popped up in recent days, announcing that he's now put his considerable-sized Ice Huts on the Hard Water for the Season.

You can bet your Bippy that ice is safe.~
