Quinte Fishing

The Cops Kids ice fishing derby will take place this upcoming Saturday the 19th from 9 till noon on the Bay of Quinte in the area of the Herchimer Boat ramp. It's free to all kids, there will be hot drinks, timbits and new this year chilli. Please bring your family down, there will be a warming tent. The MNR, Fire department, Military and paramedics will be on scene. We could use some help drilling holes on Sat if you can make it. No need to register, first 100 kids get a free toque.
The derby safety is paramount and will depend on ice thickness and colour, based on recent weather I think we're good but will drill test holes again this week on Friday to make sure. Please be safe on the ice and hope to see you there.
