IMHO - the switch by WFN to Cdn Sportsman will make me drop the channel, the good shows have disappeared and revived Bill Dance and filled the screens with hunting.

Nothing against hunting, cept that to lose the Fishing network will be a loss to many.

That's my .02.

I ditched the channel long ago.
to many shows of guys choronzy dubbed as "fisherman dressed like nascar drivers".
I like to see a show where a guy eats his weight in pickerel every morning!

bummer if it's all hunting stuff, i like the fishing shows and never watch hunting shows. Sorry...'outdoors' shows.

Seems like they're ashamed to say hunting on there. It's all "Sportsman" and "Outdoorsman". Just say hunter ffs. Quit catering to people who don't like hunting. It's not like someone who disagrees with hunting is going to tune in to watch an 'outdoorsman' take down a deer.

If the channel is struggling then they should look at their programming.
Reruns after reruns and some of the shows were just lame, then other shows were good.
It isn't good if it doesn't survive though.
I lost WFN when Rogers dumped the channel....
Would love to watch the Major League Fishing competition and always liked watching the FLW as well.
My 2 cents.

My favourite episode was when he was telling people to keep small muskie that won't revive and the that fillets were better than walleye!
"I know the MNR guys are going to be all over me but don't be afraid to keep these fish, they re delicious..." is basically what he said lol!

MLF is great to watch.

So what is happening with tournament bass fishing this year? Seems like every single big name bass angler left B.A.S.S and the elite series and are now fishing a new series that's related to MLF somehow? Bass Pro Tour or something?

Yes MLF went huge. A lot of the elites made the switch probably money is better. Still a lot of big names in the elites and the Johnston brothers are there now and gussy representing Ontario pros to the elites.
But completely agree. Definitely wish we had wfn. Definitely a few shows mainly bass are now gone. Don’t need another wild tv programming. Wish in ways the ol Cheater box was still working to get the u.s channels

I agree with the fact that wfn is now sucking even more than it was. They should just go ahead and rename the channel to the MHLF network (mostly hunting little fishing)

When a tv station has commercials about itself you know that they are filling empty spaces that they couldn't get actual commercials to play.
Is there a reason why those channels always have dead end advertising? Very little input from mainstream sources which is the bread and butter of most broadcasters.
