Looking to take my 11 year old son for some smaller pike action (he hooked one this winter and just loves it!!). Thinking of Hay Bay (Big Creek area if it freezes), unless someone knows of a better spot. Thanks for the help!!

FYI - Pike season closes on Mar 31, and will open again on the second Saturday in May for Zones 18 & 20. It is open all year in Zone 19. Cheers

Still open for another couple of weeks in 20. It also depends on how far you are willing to travel, or where you are coming from. There are a couple of nice lakes to the east of Peterborough in 17 that are open all yr for Pike fishing, safe ice, and relatively shallow.

Fishawn,
i agree with your area choice but I have never fished there thru the ice. Another area not too far from there would be off the south end of nut island
