Took a drive to Hay Bay this AM to check out the homestead and look at the ice.

Hay Bay is wet and slushy.

Drove down Huff's to the ice edge, several cars & trucks parked on the ice, a bunch of cars in the parking lot (good idea) and saw people fishing south past the red buoy and some more sorta at 10:00 from the ramp, didn't see anyone towards the cables.

The ice was WET and SLUSHY - not a good day to drag a sled out and try and stay upright, don't want to fall into the wet snow.......

Cheers to all on the ice.

Thanks for the report. I imagine this kind of information will be as important as the fishing information in the coming few days as guys get ready for the weekend.
I plan to do the same route as you did on late Thursday or early Friday and will put on a report as well.
Hoping colder weekend temperatures help maintain the ice and tighten up the snow and slush.
