I didn't think this was possible to do in the same ice fishing season, but today at the Church landed this 12.5 lb beauty to top my previous PB at Huffs? Set up in 19 ' FOW at 10 a.m. this morning, and even the perch weren't cooperating, caught an 8" walleye for count and waited till 3:30 for this big girl to come in. Had been aggressively jigging a large silver coloured buckshot spoon with one minnow. She hit hard, the rod buckled and the drag sang (what a beautiful sound). I called out to my husband who
was busy answering the call of nature at a hut nearby and he came running, with pants undone to dive past my girlfriend in the hut to make a spectacular landing. A couple of photos and a good release. She lives to fight another day.

Wow, amazing I’m bringing the girlfriend up this weekend and I would love for her to get into some fish. Let alone a beauty like this
