Hey guys, what type of minnow do you find best for walleye?

Fat heads, and dace most people call them mud minnows.

Any type. They all work at different times. Muds live longer and stay on the hook better. Shinners have more flash.
Some people even prefer salted ones because they are easier to keep and stay on the hook better.
It's like everything in fishing... Multiple choices that change everyday.
I prefer shinners on set lines (which don't work well in the bay anyway) and muds on jigs and spoons.

river mix only for eyewalls. Emerald shiners are garbage unless its simcoe for whities or lakers
