It is not a Rumour it is the Truth I was out in my yard today picking up a few things that blew in during the winter when it happened. I was picking up a bottle that fell out of the trash (recycle) when I saw the back end of my Ford escape and made the decision that I was done on the ice for the year. Well, I spent the afternoon putting away the ice gear vex, auger, another auger 2 drills and the list goes on...............

The only way that I was able to reconcile this is the phone call from early last week saying that my boat will be ready for p/u this week and my local fishing holes are iced out. You know what they say "Behind every dark cloud you can find a rainbow"

I got my boat all set for the soft water yesterday, hope for a good (no wind) day for the shake-down run.

Do not have a large water boat here Dave, so I will be practising in area 17 water on the pike, for now, a little walleye tuning and search for possible new hangouts. Spend a day or so re-mounting graph and getting the lights done on both the boat and trailer. Switching the trailer from bulb lights to L.E.D.'s, Have a good soft water season Superdad.

I feel your pain Fry Flier. I my minnow tank had been running since the week after deer hunting. I was surprised how accustomed I had become to the stead hum of the air pump in the garage.
The time came to put it away last week. Returned the minnows to the pond, took awhile to say goodbye. Going to miss those familiar faces everytime I lifted the tank lid.
Life goes on.

Enjoy your boat on the soft water. Way better than the white cold.

Hope everyone has a fun and safe year.
