If you take the telemarketing job and call my house during dinner I'll track you down and blacken your eyes

When they call my house during dinner I say to them can you hang on a moment then I put the phone down on the counter and continue eating my meal. When I'm done eating I go over and hang up the phone.

Heheheh... nice going, Dan!

We employ the 'Answering Machine' strategy, which usually results in either a quick hangup, or a Fax activation... we don't leave blank sheets in the Fax Machine.

I hate the buggers.

We were getting lots of telemarketing calls, most of them automated. Real annoying, you don't even have the satisfaction of telling a real person to piss off.

I called Bell and told them I wanted the calls to stop. I was already paying for an unpublished number and I wasn't paying extra.

Bell told me there was nothing they could do and to register on the National Do Not Call List. When I told them I was already registered, they told me I had to be updated. Bull.

Next Bell told me that they could stop Bell telemarketing but that was all they could do. Again Bull.

Finally, after about 2 minutes of dead air, seriously, dead air. the guy came back on and said that Bell blocked "900" calls to my number.

So far the problem is fixed.

I don't know why I had to do a 20 minute tug of war with Bell to end up with a fix.

Anyway, if your a Bell subscriber, they can block "900" exchanges.
