Just completed the same course at Bellville with the Bay of Quinte Sail & Power squadron. Worthwhile course and recommend it to anyone who want to know how to operate (properly) a VHF radio...rather than being 'inadvertantly' a pest to the initiated (and Coast Guard)...

If its worth while doing...it's got to be worthwhile doing right....I think!

Best to all come 'openers'!!

Mac

I rec'd my Restricted Operator's Certificate (Maritime) in todays mail, Finished the course in Kingston on March 10th, just over 6 weeks for the card.

Now, I'll get the radio.

You're right Macadian - do it right or don't bother.

Had our last evening for the CPSS Boating Course, exam is Tuesday. This will help my insurance costs.

Superdad, how many did the boating coarse? We've been having a hard time getting enough people out, I'm curious as to how other squadrons are doing.

Good luck on the exam.
