Heading to baileys cottages this long weekend, we go every year and catch a lot of pike, can anyone help us out with where to get and pickerel this time of year and also bait strategy, Thanks ahead of time appreciate it !!!!and by catch a lot of pike I mean just basically hammers, any fishing tips for Moira lake would be helpful in general thanks., fyi , I live 7 hours away and am not going to steal your spots. Does anyone know where the bigger pike are in the area then, and also help with where to find the pickerel would help. I’m aware the musky are not in season, neither are bass be we occasionally catch and release them pike fishing, just looking for some tips for the are guys. That’s all, appreciate the help.

OK....I'll bite...

I don't think anyone is going to give you the answers your looking for. Another thing... Muskie does not open for almost another 3 weeks. Zone 18. 8O

Only ever fished this lake in the winter, but that said, if you are looking for pike I would look to those areas where the river exits, and around the points. I would also suggest if you have not as of yet, download the navionics app. Lots of good info.

Pike/bass lake, very few walleye in it. Not sure if your in the group that comes up every may from Ohio, might of met last year on the lake.. I do believe it's a slot limit lake for walleye as well, which usually means for a real challenge.. be sure to keep your catch limit of pike, a buddy that lives on the lake says it's been many years since the walleye fishing has been any good, the pike have really taken over.
