BPS has inflatable life jackets on sale right now for 80 bucks till the end of the month. They are BPS name brand Auto/Manual. Has anybody ever used these?? Looking for any info. I spoke to them (Vaughn) on the phone and can offer anybody the info they shared if you are interested. This is Canadian $$ and they do shipping from the store.

I was just there and had one, put it back. The negative reviews has me concerned. Biggest beef with them seems that they inflate when stored, or even when in a dry place. I am still considering one though, especially with the fishing i do by myself.

Hi all. I just invested in 2 mustang automatic inflatables. I purchased them here, https://www.pocomarine.com/shop/mustang ... table-pfd/

The same model sells on amazon for $250

Shipping was free and they were at the house in a few days.

Very happy with the quality.

I was reading the reviews about the accidental inflation. I believe the Bass Pro pfd is an Onyx.

Looking at the re-arm video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYzDeyK8_gc

The inflation mechanism isn't located inside a pocket making it more exposed to water.

If you look at the Mustang PFD the mechanism is better protected from water by being located in a pocket.

Not sure, but I'm guessing that may contribute to the accidental inflation complaint.

When I looked at other Bass Pro pfd's, they have the mechanism in a pocket like Mustang.

If you order online the prices are in US$$ and the item will be shipped from the States. If you call the store directly in Vaughn, it's the same price that's in the flyer, but in Can$$. The item will be shipped from the store to your house/post office. The guy on the phone wasn't sure. They use Canada Post or UPS for shipping. Normal shipping costs would apply. He said when I call back to ask for the shipping department and they will have all the info. Sounds like you pay over the phone with credit card I guess, and you can also use gift cards if you have them.
