Quinte Fishing

Here's something that I've never seen before. Found it floating off the boat ramp at Beaver Lake.

Top side opaque, underside transparent, stick running through the center. Jelly like but quite firm.

Thought maybe an egg mass, but nothing to see inside.

If you know what it is, I'd like to hear about it.

Also known as "freshwater brains". They are an indication of very good water quality. This lake has had these "brains" for the last 30 years that I have fished the lake.

Can't imagine how much 'FUN' it'd be to go for a swim, 'n plow into one of those 'things' head first.
