Forum is pretty slow as of late so I thought I would give a quick update on my skunk today! A post with no fish is better than no post at all isn’t it!

I fished point Anne this morning from dawn until 11 when I could see the nasty clouds approaching. I had planned on launching out of Herchimer...however the bass tourney fellas had boats lined up past the railway tracks.....off to George street.

The bay was a pancake, so I was able to open er up and rip over to the red can off Trident point. I pulled a bottom bouncer and worm harness for a while there. It usually pays off well for me, not today. Couple sheep head and silver bass.

Off to a weed bed that I’ve had luck with in the past. I tried slow death on top of , beside and through the weeds, tried some rip jigging, casting cranks...nothing.

Off to some deep water to troll some reef runners and tail dancers. Squat.

Oh well, can’t catch them every time. Good luck.

Fishing has fallen off the map up in the Hay Bay Area also.

Most reports are skunks and the odd catch of one fish.

This time of year is never good to me either,, boats in getting some electrical bugs worked out looking forward to getting back out though , nice time of year to be on the water, but i spend more time washing lures than catching anything down this way during the fall...

Thanks for the report. I'm going to take a stab at it in the next few days. Maybe I'll go north instead. Caught three last weekend trolling. Only one in the slot. Still good to get out.
Is the Bay still Pea soup?
