Not a walleye guy but the bass and pike are still on fire. I am catching lots of good sized fish, no 5 pounders but biggest this week was 4.9lbs. with lots of 3's. Most of the pike are just nuisance size but got one on wed that was close to 10lbs. probably my big one for this fall. Catching everything on blue black swim jigs with rage craws and white spinnerbaits with the biggest blades I have. 25 years ago I started making spinnerbaits and thus I have lots of different size blades to change up. Fishing any first change in depth on shorelines with weeds, nothing in more than 5 feet usually. The fishing gets better later in the day , I am not even going out till after lunch.

Fished Brighton Bay on Sept. 28 using a worn harness weighted with a bell sinker to get some depth. Landed a 5 pound 8 oz smallmouth bass along with 5 pike between 5 and 9 pounds. About 30 perch as well. No walleye.
