Decided to join a buddy for a fish this morning Trenton way. Driving past Potters the lot was full. Got on the ice west of Potters and slowly spudded out. Most of the ice was 3-4" black ice. Marked an easy dozen fish and had 2 hits but no luck. Jason S beside me got 3-4 fish all under 3 lbs. It was nice to be on the ice before xmas. I could see a few huts out Bayside way and lots at Potters. Don't know how much ice in either area. Be safe and make sure you spud as you go. Sunday it starts to warm up and Monday calling for 6° so it's unlikely I will be able out till after Christmas speaking of Merry Christmas to you all and good luck on the ice.

Has anyone been out on the west end of the bay around the Trenton/Carrying Place area? New to the area don't know the ice yet looking to get some insight from those familiar with the area. Indian Island seemed to be a popular spot heading out from dufferin street last season i think that will be my first spot to try. All insight greatly appreciated!

Just spoke with a biddy who saw a couple folks fishing off Dufferin. Don't know how much ice there
