Just moved to Ontario this year from Manitoba, heard alot about ice fishing for Walleye in Bay of Quinte. Any suggestions where I can take me and my children out on some ice for some Walter hunting? Hopefully some google map spots can help? Thanks in advance.

There is a great map a fellow named Tyler Court (?) did up a few years back. Labels all the spots, with hyperlinks which talk about where to park, when spots typically freeze etc. Search for it or maybe someone will repost the link.

I am sure you know the remaining ice is sketchy at best right now though. FYI, I have had decent luck in the Bay Marina area and near CFB Trenton. But CFB Trenton is a long walk out for little legs. There is a marina ramp at the Bay Marina or Bayside Marina that gets you out onto the ice quicker, I am just not sure about parking. Sorry, I am just learning the Bay myself or I would offer more.

Also, the Launches tab up top lists the major boat launches. If you hear folks referring to a spot, it is often by the name of the nearest launch. I just cannot comment as to access and parking at most of them.

And I love the Bay, but she does not give up fish as easily as these forums suggest. I would guess that for every successful person, 50 folks went home empty or battled nothing more than 4-6 inch perch all day. But it is the lure of monsters that keep us coming back.

Try this; cut and pasted from the "Tips and Tricks" section of this website.
