Public access to the lake is available at other locations

I am only talking winter access and the only access points to the west basin that I know of are Davidson Beach (you are not allowed to drive motorized vehicles from there, and the hill is a biggie) and the Division Street boat ramp which is a long way from trout waters. Any other spots you are crossing someones property. I spoke with the MNR biologist a few years back and she said that they plan on stocking Loughborough indefinitely because of it's easy access and close proximity to the city. That was before this hiccup.
