Hello everyone.

I have a 2004 Yamaha 175 HP HPDI. I was told that there are "mystery filters" in the injectors that most shops don't know about. I am looking for a Yamaha service shop that you would recommend. I already tried Performance Shed and MP Marine but they don't know the filters that I am talking about. I looks like Yamaha figured that they would never need to be changed and they aren't listed in the service manuals. Looks like they eventually plug up. I see lots of guys online who have changed them themselves but I would rather not. Looks tricky. I am in Kingston but don't mind travelling to get good qualified service.

Thanks for any help!

Hello 'Gap':

Best Yammy Dealership in this area (our opinion, after 24 yrs), is J 'n P Marine in Belleville.

Located just North of 401, at your first Belleville exit heading West. Justin and Paul have been in business for decades, and do seriously good work at very reasonable prices. They don't do much advertising because word-of-mouth is all they need.

You'd want to contact them asap, as they're about to get crazy busy. Everybody around here love these Guys. We'll try to give you a link below...

Are you seeing issue with your motor or just looking to change filters?

I took my Yamaha to JP Marine once........I'll leave it at that.

Thanks for the replies, they are greatly appreciated!! I just called JP Marine and they know about the filters and can change them but if I am not having issues then he recommends not doing anything.I brought up some other issues and he gave me advice but didn't try to get me to bring it in. Sounded like a good guy and I really appreciated his advice. I will most likely be going to see them when and if I need to.

Thanks again!
