Quinte Fishing

Fished in the middle of the channel roughly straight out from Bain Park. Ice was roughly 7-9 inches depending on where you were. There was a few dangerous looking pressure cracks with open water in some places. I crossed with my snowmobile a few times but it was pretty dicey to cross by foot. As a whole fishing was very slow. I caught two 1.5 pounders on Saturday but saw very few Walleye on Saturday and Sunday. Saw a few fisherman 75 yds away do very well Saturday morning but as a whole it was tough with very few fish being marked. Current seemed to be coming back to normal and the water clarity was much improved from what I saw 2 weeks before with my underwater camera. Did see a whitefish and a Gar pike though this weekend. Hope to get out at least one more weekend.
