As a person who has fished for nearly 50 years, I have seen it all when it comes to trash. On the ice there is no hiding it (unless they shove it down the hole, which I also see). My spring trip into the bush in NW Ontario in very remote areas, which are 2-4 hours from the nearest tiny town result in the same thing. The first thing we have to do at access and camp sites is pick up other people's trash. Why would you try to get away from everyone else to the most beautiful place on earth only to trash it? For awhile it got better (maybe 5-10 years ago), but maybe that was just when the economy was crap and less people were fishing. I try not to be a judgmental person, but I have some pretty unchristian thoughts when I find trash anywhere. Oh, and it's the same everywhere I have been in the world. If you read this and it stings a little bit. Good. Be better than you have been. Same thing keeping big fish... Stop. Take a picture and let her go. Trust me, you will start to understand.
