Hi there, just wondering if anyone knows how to access Millhaven Creek. I don't have a boat available so I really cant get out for lake trout but thought I might have a chance to catch some rainbows or browns. But it doesn't look like you can fish off the Amherst Island Ferry dock.

Thanks

People used to fish below the falls, accessing the path down the cliff from behind the Legion off County Rd 4.

Haven't been there since the early 90's.

Not much help, fishing from the east side from the new ferry dock is dicey to say the least, Waders are req'd.

Only access is as Dave said from legion side but if your older like me it’s a tuff sled down the hill and harder getting back up unless your young. Still a few bows every spring come in.i use to have permission from owner at the falls house but haven’t been back in years. It’s hit and miss and water may be stained with run off last few days, not sure? Ganny has been good lately but it’s a dog and pony show there right now do to the limited access. Shoulder to shoulder and not sure in this new world if it’s worth the risk at the moment. Could toss a few casts below the bridge out into the lake or into the river.

Thanks for the info posted in this thread. I have be curiously watching as I was thinking about making the 1.5 hour drive to try Millhaven, as I have never been there and looking for something besides panfish to try and catch. But I think I will save my gas.

yes save your gas. It's a hit and miss spot and few places to float your presentation. It can hold two anglers comfortably.

Hey Terry

For the past couple of years, there has been no access. The trailer park that you could go thru from Legion is posted with No Tresspassing signs.

I used to fish it all the time in Fall and Spring and my step grandfather owned the house at top with pool built in river.

Now they come running at you if you go down road.

Maybe someone else can confirm if it's still NT.

Cheers
