Anyone know if there are any private launches available between Collins Bay and Glenora or where one can launnch a boat legally? Also, any idea if Wicklow is open? Thanks

I was at Wicklow 2 days ago walking the pup. The dock is in and there were no barriers up.

Private parks and launches are also closed.
The closure order is Provincial, which supersedes municipalities. All launches are closed. Signs and barriers not required
I believe that if the enforcement officials can't find you the ticket can be mailed to the registered owner' of the vehicle.
Everyone wants to fish but the closures are for everyone's welfare. Imagine if everyone said it's just me over here by myself. I can't do any harm. You'd have thousands of people out defeating the whole purpose of the closures
Where all in this together and if we stick it out together, hopefully we'll all be fishing soon.

I believe you will see this is for 2 reasons.
1) close gathering of fisher and pleasure craft people
2) Emergency worker risk if help is needed.

I do not like it but that sucks to be me, oh well.

Not that I agree with it or not... I just don't see how they are going to police this, so this means no boat rides, or pleasure craft. Right or wrong... good luck policing it,

Again, my thought is, if everyone actually abided by the rules in the first place, we wouldn't be in this mess. Common sense, goes a long way.

I would imagine trailer parks and cottage rentals etc...will not be open if this continues. And if they are, they're morons!!!

I just read a post on Facebook from a marina on Rice Lake saying that they closed their launch. They also stated that they were allowed to keep it open but chose not to. Too many grey areas...

The situation is in flux...OFAH have set up an update webpage at https://www.ofah.org/covid19closures/

Still no answer from MNR as to restrictions on fishing once you get on the water (from private property etc)

To our hunting and fishing community in Ontario, we are listening to you! We know you have many questions. Keep asking them. We are in this together, and our staff are working hard to support you.
Can I hunt and fish in Ontario?
At this time fishing and hunting remain open in Ontario. All rules and regulations are in effect. Conservation Officers continue to patrol and protect our natural resources during the COVID-19 outbreak.
As COVID-19 is an evolving situation, we must all follow the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health and act responsibly.
Before you head outside, do the following:
Check for #local restrictions on outdoor areas
Practice physical distancing - stay 2 metres from other people
Do not gather in groups while fishing, hunting, and hiking
What if I purchased a licence?
We are looking into the issue of licences that were purchased but can’t be used due to local restrictions. We will have more information about this soon. Stay tuned!
How can I stay up to date?
We will provide frequent updates right here and will be sharing the same messages on www.facebook.com/FishWildlifeON.
You can also visit Ontario.ca/hunting and Ontario.ca/fishing for up-to-date information.
Thank you everyone. Stay safe. #COVID19
