Brian Ostrander, Mayor of Brighton is contacting his MPP (Dave Piccini) to find out if Brighton can open its launches.

The Health Unit told him it is up to the Municipality.

The Emergency Service Hotline staff tell him they cannot open yet.

Anyone know if Quinte West or PE County are opening up yet?

More like Mayor of not too Brighton. (Not a shot at the people of Brighton just the mayor) Does he not have anyone on the city payroll who can read and understand regulations? At least the local health unit is on the ball.

Wellington's Main street launch and all other ones are opening tomorrow (Friday), with the exception of the Beach street launch. This launch is considered on provincial park lands.

PE County’s launches open Friday as per http://www.thecounty.ca/county-residents/covid-19/
Boat Launches

All municipal boat launches are open, with the exception of the Wellington boat launch, which will remain closed given that the Wellington Beach is closed under provincial orders. Access to the boat launch at that location will be blocked. The boat launch at the Wellington Marina (151 Wellington Main Street) is open.

Don't forget it will cost you $15.00 to launch in the county.
