1st time out in 4 nights.....8:30 - 9:30. One 12", then this monster. Totally unexpected, as I'm just casting the shores around Belleville looking for eaters, which in the past I usually get. This time my 2nd 'go-to', taildancer. The reason I love casting for pickerel is that tap you feel, then a moment's weighlessness before she takes off. Always know it's a pickerel. Bob Bailey, in an article for Ontario Out of Doors verbalized it that way. He "nailed" it !
She was released of course.
