Decided to try Lake Ontario for smallmouth bass. 50 years old, never broke the 5 lb mark so heard enough about Kingston areas smallies to know that's where to go. So, still searching for that 5 lber, but my 11 year old has joined the club ... briefly in the livewell to grab the camera then back to gain another 2 pounds.

Congratulations to your son on beating Dad with his membership into the 5lber club :lol: . I fished Kingston myself yesterday and what a beauty day it was. I didn't break the 5 lb mark either but caught an absolute boatload of fish. Saw lots of fish over 5 but they were busy protecting the nest.
