Tried something different yesterday with crank baits and the planer boards, trolled from Hickory Lane to the West Side Willow tree, with a CC Shad and Taildancer. The CC Shad attracted three lifters, taildancer did nothing.

The good news was that I had switched my boards to the new setup offered by Off-Shore with the OR16 clip at the back, they work famously, a quick tug and the board falls back just like it supposed to. It will make things easier for people to reel in fish.

We tried some of the deep water off the Red Maker at Shermans but didn't get a strike, so we headed for the weeds and soon found some fish in the weeds.

Fished from 0915 - 1245 with a final count of 11 eyes landed, 8 lifters and three keepers for the Sunday night Fish Fry with our grandsons- everyone is looking forward to it.

The fish in the weeds were on Uzick Spinners, Both colours worked, with about 25 feet of line out through the 8 and 9 foot levels. Tough fishing but we were getting action.

People were catching fish near Shermans Drifting across the Reach and some reports of fish at Kingscourt also.

Stay Tuned for Saturday and Sunday's report with 'Les Boys'

Superdad,
I have been meaning to switch the clips around on my boards and just haven't done it yet. Nice to hear it works so nicely
